Irrespective of the data centers’ field of application – safety of computer systems is an investment that will be paid back, because each time a fuse opens follow-up costs due to long and expensive downtimes have been avoided. - More and more data centers use direct current to supply servers etc. with power. Thus, several power supplies can be saved and a central converter can be used for power supply. DC fuses are then installed in the individual paths as protection devices.
